If you’ve been waiting for a government chance, this is your week. Four major opportunities are open right now for young Kenyans, from KMTC to the Ministry of Education. Here is a simple breakdown of what’s available and how to apply before deadlines close. Always note that its better to apply early than wait for the deadline.
1. KMTC Mass Recruitment – 89 Positions
Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) is hiring across 14 different departments. Whether you finished Form Four or you are a specialist, there is something for you.The vacancies include 10 slots each for Office Assistant III, Security Warden II, Driver III, and Clerical Officer III.
There are also 5 positions each for Artisan III, Library Assistant III, Supply Chain Management Assistant III, Assistant Office Administrator II, ICT Assistant III, Accountant II, HR Officer II, and Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy.
They also need 8 Lecturers for Mortuary Science and 1 Assistant Director for ICT.This is one of the biggest KMTC recruitments this year. If you have KCSE, diploma, degree or masters in the related fields, you are encouraged to apply.

2. Bandari Maritime Academy – 14 Positions
Based in Mombasa, Bandari Maritime Academy is hiring and the pay is attractive. They are looking for Office Assistants earning 22K – 49K, Senior Coxswain and Swimming Instructor at 31K – 63.5K, and Student Welfare, Business Development, and Trainers for Marine Engineering, Nautical Science and MTOT at 42.5K – 80K.
Higher positions include Works Officer and ICT Officer at 56K – 99.5K, and Senior Security and Senior Supply Chain Officers at 71.5K – 141.5K per month.

3. Ministry of Water Paid Internship – 12 Months
The Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation has opened its paid internship program. Interns will be deployed to different agencies and counties across the country for 12 months.To qualify, you must be 25 to 35 years old, you must not have benefited from any other government-funded internship before, and you should not have had formal employment in your area of specialization.
This is a perfect stepping stone if you recently graduated and need government experience on your CV.

4. Ministry of Education – 1,000 Paid Internships
This is the biggest one. The Ministry of Education is offering 1,000 internship positions under the Digital Literacy Programme (DLP) Cohort 5.
The internship will run for 12 months and is non-renewable.It’s a national program, so positions are available across all counties. If you are passionate about ICT, education, and working with schools, this is your chance to serve and earn at the same time.
